DEVORA BENCHIMOL Website

Devora began dancing when she was only four years old. At the age of 18 she graduated from the Argentine School of Corporal Expression. She participated in different seminars on "Dance Movement Therapy”, Eutony, and Alexander Technique. When she became Torah observant and religious, Devora stopped dancing in the traditional sense, but she never stopped moving. It took her about 15 years to unite her two worlds – the Torah and dance, a time during which she meditated and managed to establish profound connection to her inner being. Out of this inner journey grew new images, forms and movements that eventually gave shape to JEWGAL, the integration of kabbalistic wisdom and physical exercise. Devora studied massage therapy and osteopathic movements at Equitems School, Spain. In Cali, Colombia, she specialized in Shiatzu and Korean relaxation. These disciplines deepened her knowledge of the human anatomy and its functioning. Devora also graduated as a Bach Flower Practitioner at the Asociacion Argentina de Flores de Bach. As the wife of a Rabbi, Devora has dedicated her life to helping and empowering families in the spiritual aspect for 23 years, therefore becoming a “Spiritual Counselor”. She created an office to help Jewish Latin women victims of domestic abuse (Shalom Bait), inspired by the books written by Rabbi A. Twersky
