The retreat, Inviting light and life into your life
Celebrating light and life with yoga and nature. We will have 2 or 3 yoga classes with asana, pranayama and relaxation practices a day, Silent walks and contemplation activities.

Goals

  • Connect and contemplate nature.
  • Expansion, celebration, and love through yoga.
  • Find a state of deeper connection/s.

The place:

The Art of Living Retreat Center seeks to reawaken human values , compassion, love, togetherness, joy, harmony and to nurture them in our day-to-day life. it hosts hundreds of workshops and retreats that take you deeper into the rich experience of life.

The Art of Living. The Center hopes to show a true representation of a one-world family, offering a place that unites people from all walks of life in the spirit of wisdom, celebration, and service to the world.
The Center is nestled 3,400 feet up on 381 acres in the ancient Blue Ridge Mountains of northwest North Carolina, an easy 2-hour drive from Charlotte. Likely, the largest of its kind in the US: 37 buildings, 37,000 square feet of meeting space with the capacity to sleep up to 1,000. The Center architecture is Vastu, a science-based on creating positive energy between structures, people, and the earth. We develop over 300 retreats, workshops, and conferences annually to 15,000 guests.

Daily activities of guided meditation, yoga, evening Kirtan and Saturday bonfires support and deepen guest experiences.
Guided Nature Walks can be scheduled to observe the enormous range of plant life.
Shankara Ayurveda Wellness Center is nationally known for authentic treatments nurturing balanced health for each individual

Schedule 


Day 1:
6 pm Arrival Grounding
6:30 pm welcome and Grounding meditation.
7 pm Dinner
8:30 pm Welcome ceremony and possible yoga class in what we will call the temple (designated room). Then go to sleep.


Day 2:
6:45am Yoga and pranayama class
9:45 Breakfast
10:45 Outdoor activities
1 pm Lunch. Then free time
4 pm Yoga class afternoon session.
6:30 pm Dinner.
8:30 Bonfire and Labyrinth.

Day 3:
6:15 am yoga at Sunrise (at the roof).
7:30ish
8:30 am out to Hike (here we may need help with transportation and we accept recomendations) and it would be good to have lunch to go.
4 pm to 6 pm Depending on the coming back the time we can add the clay class. I think is going to be optional
6:30 pm Dinner.
7:30 pm Kirtan in the bonfire.


Day 4
6:45am Yoga and pranayama class
9:45 Breakfast
10:45 Outdoor activities
1 pm Lunch. Then free time
4 pm Yoga class afternoon session.
6:30 pm Dinner.
8:30 Bonfire Puja
Day 5:
6:00 Summer solstice celebration class Rooftop.
9:30 Breakfast.
11 am Closing ceremony.
